英語寫作是一種創作性的學習過程。啓動知識信息儲存，構思立意，謀篇佈局，遣詞造句，對語言表達的正確性和準確性、思維的邏輯性和文章的條理性都比口語要求更高。通常英語寫作有以下幾個特點：緊扣教學大綱對考生書面表達的要求；以有指導的寫作爲主（guidedwriting），便於考生在短時間內構思成文；突出試題的交際性，考查考生在特定的情景中運用語言的能力；增強試題的實用性，所選話題貼近學生學習生活，爲學生所熟悉；看圖作文主要考查考生運用所學知識解決實際問題的`能力。

英語寫作注意兩點

一、先審題，弄清寫作要求審題是寫好作文的前提，也是書面表達的基礎。如果寫偏了題，語言表達再好也很難得高分。審題時要注意兩個方面：

1.認真地看兩遍題目，包括提示，全面瞭解寫作要求。

2.理清思路，確定體裁、框架結構和內容。

二、用英語進行思維英語寫作時必須排除漢語思維的干擾。
