盤點smoke短語
大家都知道smoke有抽菸的意思，但除此之外，smoke也可表示“煙霧、不實的事物”等意思，英語中有很多跟smoke相關的短語，我們一起學習一下吧!
1. I'm going to withdraw all my money from that bank. I read an article that the bank was in financial trouble, and there's no smoke without fire.
我要去銀行把錢都取出來，我看了篇報道說那個銀行現在有些財務問題，無風不起浪啊!
2. The entire investment went up in smoke.

破冰、打破僵局
近幾年，拓展訓練似乎很流行。各個部門的人集合在一起，打破部門界限重新組合成新的臨時團隊，然後迎接各種挑戰。一般情況下，一個新的團隊剛剛組建，成員之間還不是很熟悉的時候，我們都需要通過一些熱身活動互相認識一下，在拓展訓練中，這個部分就叫做“破冰”，即ice breaking。
破冰，to break the ice，這個概念最初源於海上航行。交通還不太發達的時候，人們出國基本都需要坐船。冬季氣溫低，水面結冰，船隻無法順利前行的時候，就需要有除冰船在前面開路，於是就有了ice-breaker這個說法。到了後來，人們開始用to break the ice來比喻在人際交往中打破沉默，或者打破僵局，以幫助不熟識的人開始交流。
例如：
The host told a joke to his guests to break the ice.
爲了打破僵局，主人給客人們講了個笑話。
