【冰箱裏的儲蓄罐】
My cousin always "borrows" money from her older brother's piggy bank, which drives him crazy.
我表妹總是從她哥哥的小豬撲滿裏“借錢”，她哥哥對此事感到很憤怒。
One day, she found the piggy in, of all places, the refrigerator.
一天，表妹四處尋找，最後竟然在冰箱裏發現了撲滿。
Inside was this note: "Dear sister, I hope you'll understand, but my capital has been frozen."
撲滿裏有張紙條：“親愛的妹妹，我希望你能夠理解，我的資產現在已被凍結。”
【註釋】
1. piggy bank (豬形)儲蓄罐，(豬形)撲滿，也可以叫做money box或者penny bank。過去的piggy bank大多是小豬形狀，而現在則是多種多樣的啦。
2. drive sb. crazy 使某人發瘋，把某人逼瘋。另外drive sb. mad和drive sb. nuts也是同樣的意思，例如：Traffic jams drive me nuts.(交通堵塞使我發瘋。)
3. of all places/things/people 主要用於口語中，表達對於某件事竟會涉及到某地/某物/某人的驚訝之情。例如：And now she's chosen to live in Alaska, of all places!(而現在她竟然選擇定居在阿拉斯加!)
【最醜的孩子】
A woman gets on a bus with her baby. The driver says: "Ugh, that's the ugliest baby I've ever seen."
一位女士抱着她的寶寶上公交車，司機看到後說：“額，那是我這輩子見過的最醜的小孩。”
The woman walks to the rear of the bus and sits down, fuming. She says to a man next to her: "The driver just insulted me." The man says: "You go up there and tell him off. Go on, I'll hold your monkey for you."
女士走到車廂後面坐下，感到很憤怒。她對旁邊的男士說：“司機剛剛羞辱了我。”男士迴應說：“你快上去斥責他。去吧，我替你抱着你的猴子。”
【註釋】
1. fume - to be angry about something 發怒，生氣
常用介詞搭配：fume at/over/about
例如：fume about what he said 對他所說的話感到生氣
2. tell somebody off 斥責，責罵
tell somebody off for doing something 因爲某人做某事而責罵他/她
例如：The boss is always telling me off for being late, even though he is late every day! 我的老闆總拿遲到的事斥責我，即便他自己天天遲到!
