我不明白，爲什麼英語會是和語文數學一樣重要的學科，學習語文可以提高分析，閱讀，寫作能力，可以讓我們在各種美好的，離奇的，勵志的故事海洋裏徜徉，學習數學可以提高我們的思維能力，解決生活中遇到的實際問題，就算學個歷史，也可以讓我們知道中國上下五千年的光輝事蹟，學習地理也可以讓我們不出門便可領略祖國的大好河山......學習英語呢？我不反對，生活中我們確實會遇到一些英文說明書，標誌什麼的，但也不至於把英語上升到和語文數學一樣的高度。

爲了英語能考出好成績，幾乎每個家長都使出渾身解數，把自己的孩子推到各種輔導班。浪費了大量的人力物力，還有時間。可這對邊遠山區的孩子公平嗎？外公所在的小學根本就沒有英語課，就是想上英語輔導班，也找不到地方。外公經常說：真不明白，爲什麼一個外國的`語言卻決定着很多中國的孩子能不能上好大學，真是國家的可悲。是呀，農村的孩子到中學纔開始上英語課，我們卻已經在輔導班把初中的英語課程學完了。農村的孩子出生便倒在了英語的起跑線上，可悲，可嘆。

我不反對學英語，英語也絕不應該和我們的語文數學同比，可以和歷史，地理這樣的小學科並列，這樣既可以把我們的傳統文化發揚光大，也給了山區，農村邊遠地區孩子一個和我們站在同一起跑線的機會。
