I used to live in a small town with trees all around. There was no tall building and the only street was narrow. Just outside the town， there was a river. You can see different kinds of fish swimming in the clear water. People here lived a simple life.

Great changes have taken place here. You can see tall buildings， big department stores and factories everywhere. Different kinds of cars and buses are running in the big streets. But with the development of the industry， we have fewer trees. Air and water pollution is becoming more and more serious. We must do something to stop pollution and make our town even more beautiful.

我過去住在一個小鎮周圍有樹木。沒有高樓,只有街道很窄。就在城外,有一條河。你可以看到不同種類的魚在清澈的水裡游泳。這裡的人們過著簡單的生活。

因為我暑假吧，請了專門的英語補課老師。這個英語補課老師可以說是非常嚴厲了，管教人起來也是一套一套的。更何況我父母是花了大價錢讓我去補課的，我怎麼能讓他們失望呢？

所以我很都是聽那個英語老師安排讓我幹嘛幹嘛的。要做的事情也可謂是非常之多了，其中老師所說的最重要的就是要背單詞了。唉，背的單詞可不僅僅只有我現在學的啊。還要背新世紀的單詞，和我上學期的，下學期的英語單詞，這些單詞全部要背。可以說是非常大的一個單詞量了，我自己都忍不住皺眉。可是我不能退縮，我更加不能鬆懈，為了父母的錢，更為了我自己的以後，我當然要好好努力了。可是英語單詞量太大了，我一天背好是根本不可能的事情。因為英語補習班是每週上一次，所以我每次有一個星期的時間去背這個單詞。

一個星期的時間吧，說長也不長，說短吧，也不短。這樣的話，如果我每天可以堅持背單詞，還是可以完成這個英語老師每週佈置的背英語單詞的任務的。我甚至覺得這個老師可能就是算好了吧，剛好每天都可以背這個英語單詞的量。可是你如果讓我堅持一個星期我不會拒絕，一個月我也可以考慮。可是看這個架勢，我這個英語補課老師是長久的`都在了，這也就說明我以後的每天可能都需要背單詞。我的天哪，那是有多累啊。我甚至無法想象，可我一想到請這個補課老師的錢，是我爸媽每天辛苦的在外面流汗賺來的。這樣一想，我的心裡就有點過意不去。也一下子心裡就滿是鬥志了，是的父母為我們付出了那麼多。我不應該和他們一樣都好好努力嗎。每天都說服自己努力一點再努力一點，每天都要堅持下去，慢慢的養成習慣，這件事情自然也就好了，也就會越來越簡單了。

所以我現在每天都在堅持背這個英語單詞，我想我會一直堅持下去，不能堅持也要撐著繼續堅持，我相信我會成功的。繼續堅持下去，就是勝利了！

英語老師姓李，今年51歲，個字不高，穿著樸素。這次見著李老師是到鄉鎮視導的工作之餘。上學期視導時，得知李老師在小學支教，我們聊了一會兒。

這次又到了這個學校，做完手頭的工作，就急急地打聽李老師是否還在這個學校，校領導說還在，我便小跑著去了李老師的辦公室。推開辦公室的門，李老師正戴著老花鏡看桌上攤開的英語教材。見我進來，李老師激動的迎上來拉住了我的手。落座後，我們開始了回憶。

李老師教我們英語時，尚未婚配，也許是個頭不高的緣故，走路特精神，一跳一跳的。李老師和我們學生真的是朋友關係，我們幾個女生週末經常找李老師玩，初三成立尖子班後，我和密友馬詠梅爭著給李老師當英語課代表，儘管我當時也是語文課代表，還兼著班長。詠梅的成績很是優秀，在這之前也是李老師的課代表。李老師看我們這麼熱情，乾脆讓我們倆同時當英語課代表。

李老師結婚後，愛人在外地工作，平時比較寂寞，我們幾個女生經常到老師家陪老師說話，晚上還在那睡過覺。

初一時，我的英語成績總不能考出高分，老是在90分之上95分之下，就去問李老師怎麼辦，李老師把她的教學參考書拿給我看，我如夢初醒班，但還是沒有提高多少。

我們的英語基礎很牢固，雖然只有三年的英語學習時間。23年過去了，很多單詞和句型結構至今記憶猶新。

很難忘懷的，是業務精良，態度和藹，待人真誠的老師，無論何時回想起來，學生們都感到很是幸福。
