The Mid-Autumn Festival is one of the two most important holidays in the Chinese calendar (the other being the Chinese Lunar New Year), and is a legal holiday in several countries. Farmers celebrate the end of the summer harvesting season on this itionally, on this day, Chinese family members and friends will gather to admire the bright mid-autumn harvest moon, and eat moon cakes and pomeloes together. It is also common to have barbecues outside under the moon, and to put pomelo rinds on one's head. Brightly lit lanterns are often carried around by children.

Together with the celebration, there appear some special customs in different parts of the country, such as burning incense, planting Mid-Autumn trees, lighting lanterns on towers, and fire dragon dances. Shops selling mooncakes, before the festival, often display pictures of Chang'e, floating to the moon.

Mooncake is often eaten during the cal mooncakes are round or rectangular pastries, measuring about 10 cm in diameter and 4-5 cm thick. 無言獨坐窗頭，

無奈英語分數獨自掛燈籠。

記不住，背不牢，

是英語。

別是一番滋味在心頭。

自創小詩一首，以抒我對英語的頑固不化之痛。再仔細分析試卷，第一大題選擇題全是課內知識，是13單元土生土長的題型，我的做對率也為100%。後面的題基本上是課外閲讀，結果做得慘不忍睹。另外語法題也很成問題。都怪平時積累甚少，遇到新單詞就沒折了，無法完全理解文意，也不瞭解那些詞彙的搭配。很有可能那些單詞我在課外練習時碰到過，但是沒有耐心地去記。一遇到語法題，我就把“褲子”當“上衣”穿了，把“襪子”當“毛巾”來擦臉了，又把“擦鞋刷”拿來當“牙刷”使了，總之---一片混亂，搭配得相當的.個性。不禁又曰：

“Stand up!” our monitor said loudly. I stood up and my legs were trembling.

“Who knocked over the ink bottle?” Miss Ye, the teacher, asked. I kept silent. Many eyes were fixed upon me. Miss Ye walked to me and asked in a low voice,“Did you do it?”
