烏鴉與渡鴉的寓言故事

一隻烏鴉非常妒忌渡鴉，因爲渡鴉被人類當做一種能預測未來的神鳥，故而得到了人類的尊散。烏鴉十分羨慕，也想得到同樣的聲望。有一天，看見幾個行人路過，她便飛到路邊的一棵樹上，用力地大聲叫了起來。聽到烏鴉的聲音，行人都很鬱悶，他們擔心這是一個不好的預兆。其中一個人看到了烏鴉，就對同伴說：“沒事了，朋友們，我們可以不用擔心了，因爲這是一隻烏鴉，沒什麼特別的。”

A Crow became very jealous of a Raven，because the latter was regarded by men as a bird of omen which foretold the future，and was accordingly held in great respect by was very anxious to get the same sort of reputation herself;and，one day,seeing some travellers approaching，she flew on to a branch of a tree at the roadside and cawed as loud as she travellers were in some dismay at the sound，for they feared it might be a bad omen；till one of them，spying the Crow,said to his companions，“It’S all right，my friends，we can go on without fe it’S only a crow and that means nothing.”
